Cream of Broccoli Soup

Method

Mix first 4 ingredients and heat in a medium size pot. While heating them, boil broccoli until half done; drain and add to the soup.

Chicken and onions in a tomato and sour cream sauce, with easy homemade dumplings dropped in to soak it up.

A big pot of beef-bone soup with cabbage, corn, rice and barley. Three hours on the stove, and worth every minute.
Sloppy Joes
Ground chuck simmered with celery, onion, brown sugar and ketchup. Get some good buns ready.
White Bean and Ham Soup
Cannellini beans simmered with ham shanks, celery, carrots and garlic. A good use for the ham left over from last night.
